Day 1 – Delhi to Haridwar
Your Char Dham Yatra begins with a comfortable drive from Delhi to Haridwar, a sacred gateway to the Himalayas on the banks of the River Ganga. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for a while before heading in the evening to Har Ki Pauri to witness the famous Ganga Aarti, where hundreds of diyas and chants create a beautiful spiritual atmosphere. After the aarti, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the journey into the mountains.

After a brief stop at Jal Mahal, we'll continue our journey to the majestic Amber Fort. Nestled on a hilltop, this 16th-century fortress is a stunning example of the harmonious blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Our expert guide will take us through its grand palaces, serene courtyards, and lush gardens, bringing the rich history of Amber Palace to life with captivating stories.

Day 2 – Haridwar to Barkot
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Barkot, passing through scenic towns like Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie (route may vary as per traffic and road conditions). The road gradually climbs into the lower Himalayas, offering views of forests, valleys and river streams along the way, with possible photo stops at viewpoints and local markets. On reaching Barkot, check in at the hotel, enjoy dinner and rest early, as the next day starts before dawn for the Yamunotri visit.
Day 3 – Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
Early in the morning, after tea or a light breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the base point for the Yamunotri trek. From here, trek around 5–6 km (or hire a pony/doli at your own cost) along a well‑marked mountain path to reach Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, and take a holy bath in the nearby hot spring before offering prayers. After darshan and some time for meditation and photography, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

After visiting Hawa Mahal, you will have lunch at a local restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to taste authentic Rajasthani cuisine, including dal bati churma, laal maas, and ker sangri.

Day 4 – Barkot to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Uttarkashi, a peaceful town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River that serves as a base for Gangotri. On arrival, check in at the hotel and later visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple or nearby ghats if time and energy permit, soaking in the calm spiritual vibe of this Himalayan town. Return to the hotel for dinner and a relaxed overnight stay.
Day 5 – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Start early in the morning for a full‑day excursion to Gangotri, driving along the Bhagirathi River through picturesque valleys, waterfalls and small villages. On reaching Gangotri, take a holy dip in the icy waters (as per comfort), offer prayers at the Gangotri Temple and spend some time walking along the riverbank in the crisp mountain air. By afternoon, begin the drive back to Uttarkashi, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6 – Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Guptkashi, a long but scenic drive passing via the Tehri Dam region, winding mountain roads and river valleys. En route, you may stop at Dhari Devi Temple or view points overlooking the river (depending on traffic and timing), before continuing to Guptkashi, an important town on the way to Kedarnath. On arrival, check in at the hotel, enjoy dinner and rest well, as the Kedarnath day starts very early.
Day 7 – Guptkashi to Kedarnath (via Sonprayag/Gaurikund)
In the early hours (as instructed by your tour operator), drive to Sonprayag and then take local transport to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. Begin the 16–20 km trek (or hire pony/palki at your own cost) through a dramatic mountain landscape towards Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, or use a pre‑booked helicopter service from an authorised helipad if included in your plan. On reaching Kedarnath, check into a simple guest house or camp, visit the temple for evening aarti and soak in the powerful spiritual and natural atmosphere before staying overnight near the shrine.
Day 8 – Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Wake up early for a second darshan of Kedarnath Temple if you wish, then check out and start the trek back down to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, drive back to Sonprayag and onward to Guptkashi, where your hotel awaits with a hot meal and a comfortable bed after a physically demanding but deeply satisfying pilgrimage. Spend the evening resting or quietly reflecting on your Kedarnath experience, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and head towards Joshimath or Pipalkoti, travelling along roads that run beside the Alaknanda River and other tributaries of the Ganga. En route you may pass through Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag, where sacred rivers meet, offering beautiful spots for brief stops and photographs, subject to time and traffic.
