Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi (207 km / 7 hours)

The journey takes you through the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas, following the Mandakini River which originates from Kedarnath. Upon arrival in Guptkashi, nestled at 1,319 meters elevation, you check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening you can explore the town and visit the local Ardh Narishwar Temple before enjoying dinner and rest.
Day 2: Guptkashi to Gaurikund to Kedarnath (30 km drive + 18 km trek)
After breakfast, you drive to Sonprayag and then take a local jeep to Gaurikund at 1,982 meters, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. From Gaurikund you begin the 18-kilometre trek to Kedarnath at 3,583 meters, passing through dense forests, alpine meadows and mountain streams. Upon reaching Gaurikund you meet the driver and continue by road to Rudraprayag at 895 meters elevation, located at the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. After checking in at the hotel, if time permits you visit this important pilgrimage confluence before dinner and overnight rest.
Day 4: Rudraprayag to Badrinath (155 km / 6 hours)
After breakfast you drive to Badrinath via scenic mountain roads through Joshimath, gradually ascending to 3,300 meters elevation. The journey offers magnificent views of river valleys and Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival in Badrinath you check in at the hotel and rest. In the evening you visit Badrinath Temple, one of the four Char Dhams dedicated to Lord Vishnu, established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century.
